front door communities
Programs
We have 2 programs (Lunch Bag and Lifted Spirits) that serve vulnerable men and women in our community, ages 18 and up. Many of our clients are seniors and veterans.
Lunch Bag
We distribute lunch bags
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings between
9:30am - 11:00am
We provide lunch bags at our front door three mornings a week between 9:30 and 11:00. We also offer new socks thanks to our partner Bombas. We provide basic toiletries one day a week and have a men's clothing rack when donations make that possible. On request, we provide small bags of cat or dog food.
"The food is always good and sometimes there are extras like a box of cereal. The men’s clothing is really helpful, especially socks and shoes as well as other items too."

"Everything is Top Notch! The people appreciate this location. It creates a good, friendly environment for us as we stand in line."
Lifted Spirits
Wednesday and Friday
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Lifted Spirits is a program that serves the unique needs of vulnerable women in downtown San Jose.
We've adapted our programs during COVID-19 so we can continue to serve our clients in downtown San Jose, while adhering to social distancing protocols. We also partner with community organizations to provide food, healthcare and other necessities.
"There is not that many places for women in San Jose. This is a big help for us."
